A White Paper Discussion

 

In the news recently on the VVA website is that a law firm is going to sue “accountable federal officials.”  This is over the Shipboard Hazard and Decontamination (SHAD) testing (guinea pig usage) of Veterans.  SHAD was a part of the Project 112 testing of Veterans, which included various forms of biological and chemical warfare testing (BCW).

 

Pentagon officials named as defendants include former Secretary of Defense Robert S. McNamara, along with John C. Doesburg, Bernard D. Rostker, and Michael Kilpatrick.  The VA officials named are Susan H. Mather, Neil S. Otchin, Robert J. Epley, and Thomas J. Pamperin.  The suit alleges that these people orchestrated or contributed to a cover-up - characterized as "intentional, willful, wanton, and in bad faith" in the complaint - of SHAD and its possible adverse health effects by denying veterans access to information about the tests. 

 

Whom I did not see in this list was the head of the Federal Agency that directs some of these folks and sets the tone for cover-ups, denials, and out and out conspiracy for the value of a government dollar versus scientific truth.  Including this Federal Agency leaders boss, the President of the United States.  The President has to know what is going on, as I will point out later with direct interventions by the White House in medical studies that are associated with Veterans only.  Makes you want to go out and enlist right away I bet.       

 

Douglas Rosinski, an attorney with Shaw Pittman, the Washington, D.C., law firm representing VVA and the 21 SHAD veterans indicated, “These are people who signed or stamped the letters and denials.”

 

The suit alleges that these people orchestrated or contributed to a cover-up - characterized as “intentional, willful, wanton, and in bad faith” in the complaint - of SHAD and its possible adverse health effects by denying veterans access to information about the tests.

 

As if this has not gone on before for the last 40 years or more, just in the Vietnam Veterans’ “Toxic Chemical Legacy” and more recently in the “Gulf War Syndrome” issues.

 

The Department of Justice representing these individuals will probably argue that the government is immune from such cases.  While this suit is against individuals who actually perpetrated possible crimes against human beings and citizens of this nation, not just former military men and women.  Where does government immunity end and government tyranny begin?

 

One must also ask why is it the government is immune from such crimes against humanity.  Is it only because they are Veterans maybe? 

 

Did this nation not hang Axis Powers personnel after WW2 for the exact same crimes against humanity?  Including, hanged those that made the toxic chemicals because they knew the intentions of the toxic chemicals and how they were to be used.

 

In a 2002, congressional oversight review of possible wrongdoing (cover-ups) by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regarding the safety of some children’s inoculations and vaccinations, Congressman Dan Burton, Chairmen, suggested that possible criminal charges would be in order.

 

“Look, I don't think it makes any difference whether it's a private company or a government agency,” Burton said.”  If they know they're harming somebody and they continue to let it happen, then they should be held accountable.”

 

The exception seems to be, unless you once wore the uniform of the United Sates Military.  Alternatively, you are a dumb animal and then fall under the protection of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).

 

This SPCA protection does seem appropriate for Veterans as one former Secretary of State in the early 90’s commented on just that very issue.  “Military men are dumb, stupid animals to be used as pawns for foreign policy.”

 

Representatives Mike Thompson (D-CA) and Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL) are planning to introduce legislation that would force the Department of Defense to submit to Congress a thorough review of all CBW testing the military has done.  The legislation also would require the VA to notify veterans of their participation and to specify what substances they may have been exposed to - something the lawsuit alleges the VA has deliberately failed to do properly.

 

A VA outreach?  What a novel idea.  The VA is just now in 2005 looking for those WW2 Veterans that were tested using mustard gas and other biological agents.  Those old warriors that may actually be left that is.  Just a slight government hedge on their “claims adjuster” bets of about 62 years.  What a government disgrace!

 

One must also realize that if there is any admission now that these events of Project 112 and SHAD testing even took place; is that enough information finally leaked out and that the DOD and our government could no longer plausibly deny this inhumane testing.  This is not only disgraceful behavior but also now borders on the criminal with forethought and planned collaboration cover-ups.  Why would any Veteran (past, present, or future), Veterans widow, or Veterans damaged offspring trust our government?  

 

How many congressional mandates have the DOD and especially the VA just ignored already as if they did not exist at the direction of the White House or even some members of congress?  I can think of one that affected about three million Vietnam Veterans called the Congressional Dioxin Act of 1984.  This Act has to go down in history as one of largest “congressional lies” ever conceived and put forth.

 

Why must veterans (victims) and their legal team go after the individuals instead of the government conspiracy that is still on going?  Because Veterans have no legal rights under the constitution and those inalienable rights guaranteed to all citizens, except those that once wore the uniform of the United Sates Military.  All present and prospective veterans should take that as a warning to use in their decisions to serve and protect the very instrument of protection guaranteed to all against government conspiracy, except for those individuals that do serve and protect.  Ironic is it not?

 

Another issue is the wrongful Feres Doctrine that is unconstitutional in its nature and purpose.

 

If these congressmen did away with the Feres Doctrine there would be no need for all of these totally ignored congressional mandates.  Veterans could prosecute those that transgress against them.  Given the fact they could prosecute outside the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.  This court, for Veterans and/or Veterans issues is not Veteran friendly.

 

Even when a Veteran wins his appeal to make the VA actually make a decision after 14 years of waiting, the VA is allowed to just lie.  The Veteran just wanted a decision “yes or no” on his 14 year claim.  Yet, the VA is allowed to lie and say they never received any claim during the 14 years the Veteran waited for a decision.  Yet, the evidence shows his claim and his claim number with the VA counselors initialed “Destroy This” across the top.

 

The punishment for a Federal Agency, “for only Veterans,” lying in the District Court was?  Nothing! Makes you wonder if there is any justice for Veterans in this nation.

 

Of course, death and disability compensation issues are of a concern and that is one reason for all the government conspiracy in most mass Veteran cover-ups going back to not only the mustard gas issue but the nuclear issue testing done on Veterans.  However, the main problem is the injustice to veteran in not only his health in what to look for, but also the nations medical community.  The doctor in Wherever, State that has four or five Veterans he is trying to figure out what is wrong.  Why are they failing with these strange symptoms and syndromes not covered in the doctors training or in the doctor’s desk reference manuals?  Why don’t these systemic disorders match the medical codes and testing parametrics as in other human beings?

 

All the while, this federal agency that already knows the medical issue remains silent and a government conspirator.  With many coconspirators involved, including our own White House.  Including, a tag team of the White House/chemical companies issuing propaganda after propaganda to the nations public.

 

Because of the dollar value saved in any admission of guilt, this now obsolete used up government asset, “The United States Military Veteran” must now slowly die or become disabled and his doctor is now powerless to stop it or at least slow it down.  Much less, be given advance notice that his patient is not a “normal patient” but a “BCW survivor.”

 

One may be able to rationalize the government embarrassment or the savings of billions or even trillions of government political pandering dollars to stay in the government coffers to be used on entitlements for segments of society that vote as one for personal selfish political reelections as possible rational for government tyranny.

 

However, Veterans must realize by now our government only gets away with this because the media, the real government watchdog, is dead silent.  How does one explain this fact?  How does the national media swallow the continual government lies and lack of logic; hook, line, and sinker and continually does so only when it comes to Veterans issues.

 

Front-page news coverage on the Iraqi prisoner issue, which looked like a fraternity party.  Hashed and rehashed  for over a month on the front pages across the nation, including National TV News; went on forever.  Everyone wanted the Secretary of Defense to take responsibility and resign.  Yet, no such conclusions are reached for the Secretary of the VA and the President in killing and disabling our own troops from not telling the truth.

 

The killing and disabling of a conservative estimate of over 500,000 of our own Veterans by our own government gets a national media pass.  Why!

 

 

Gulf War Syndrome

 

How does the SHAD testing cover-ups correlate to the Gulf War Syndrome and the last 40 Years of cover-ups on our Toxic Chemical Legacy in Vietnam?

 

It is estimated that 700,000 Veterans served in first Gulf War.  About 23% of them come with the same symptoms; sick and dying.  Many have already succumbed to these systemic medical disorders and many more are now disabled.

 

The first response by the VA was - it was not related to the war.  The second response by the VA it was - all caused by stress.  Our Veterans are just weaklings and 23% of them have some sort of Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome in a war that took 96 hours.

 

This stress disorder has become the government’s cover up fallback position and congress just eats this stuff up.

 

As if the VA was handing out chocolate truffles and not chocolate covered government BS.  Then the government/VA contracts with the National Academy of Science/Institute of Medicine (NAS/IOM) to now point the finger in the direction that stress is the real reason we had over 150,000 coming back sick and dying from the same symptoms.

 

Not only our troops but also troops from the following countries reported the same systemic issues.

 

British, Canadian, Czech, Danish, Saudi, Egyptian, Australian, and other Coalition Armed Forces that were deployed to Operation Desert Storm in 1991.  How could any reputable scientists conclude that all these men were affected by stress causing the exact same medical syndrome of medical symptoms and death?  How could our national media watch dogs even consider this “stress” a plausible reason?  Maybe our government controls more of the media than we think.

 

These systemic symptoms were as follows:

 

Characterized by disabling fatigue, intermittent fevers, night sweats, arthralgia, myalgia, impairments in short-term memory, headaches, skin rashes, intermittent diarrhea, abdominal bloating, chronic bronchitis, photophobia, confusion, transient visual scotomata, irritability and depression and other signs and symptoms that until recently have defied appropriate diagnoses.  These symptoms are not localized to any one organ, and the signs and symptoms and routine laboratory test results are not consistent with a single, specific disease.

 

The chronic signs and symptoms loosely fit the clinical criteria for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and/or Fibromyalgia Syndrome.  Some patients have additionally what appears to be neurotoxicity and brainstem dysfunction that can result in autonomic, cranial and peripheral nerve demyelination, possibly due to complex chemical exposures.  Often these patients have been diagnosed with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity Syndrome (MCS) or Organophosphate-Induced Delayed Neurotoxicity (OPIDN).  Chemically exposed patients can be treated by removal of offending chemicals from the patient's environment, depletion of chemicals from the patient's system and treatment of the neurotoxic signs and symptoms caused by chemical exposure(s).  A rather large subset (~40%) of GWI patients have transmittable infections, including mycoplasmal and possibly other chronic bacterial infections, that have resulted in the appearance of GWI in immediate family members and civilians in the Gulf region.  It is likely that veterans of the Gulf War who are ill with GWI owe their illnesses to a variety of exposures:

 

(a)    Chemical mixtures, primarily organophosphates, anti-nerve agents, and possibly nerve agents.

(b)   Radiological sources, primarily depleted uranium, and possibly fallout from destroyed nuclear reactors.

(c)    Biological sources, primarily bacteria, viruses, and toxins, before, during and after the conflict.  Such exposures can result in poorly defined chronic illnesses.

 

In other words, their bodies were being destroyed at cellular and microbiological levels by a number of what could be considered autoimmune type disorders caused by various types of exposures, exposure rates, and total cumulative exposure dosage.  

 

The VA launched medical studies for a decade that concluded in this government myth of stress is the root cause of all this death and destruction.  Again backed up by the government contracted NAS/IOM that has also disassociated many issues regarding the toxic chemicals used in Vietnam that has overwhelming data and evidence that shows there is a connection to not only dioxin but service in Vietnam by itself.  Of course, these studies were nothing but a stalling gauntlet.

 

In other words, stress was arbitrarily decided before the so-called studies even commenced.

 

Now how many died and are still dying because of government/VA corruption.  How many are disabled because of government corruption.  How many of our nation’s doctors are still struggling with diagnosis and treatment plans because of government corruption, while the nations Veterans suffer.

 

Not believing this government illogical BS; other studies commenced some of which were funded by Ross Perot.  The conclusion that stress was the cause was destroyed.  Upon hearing this the VA Secretary response was:

 

He was anxious to see the report and would fund another four-year government corrupted study to the costs of over 60 million dollars.  This of course after canceling the first stress study that had been on-going for a number of years that was totally corrupt and useless, which equals more government stalling.

 

Scientists involved in the first government study stated it would be interesting to see as long as it was not done by Veteran’s Activist groups.  Now what difference would that make if the scientific evidence is in the study and sound.  As if the government’s studies had not been more political than scientific.

 

Therefore, the SHAD testing lawsuit could just as easily be applied to those individuals who created myth after myth for over a decade that stress was the cause of the multisymptom disorders that these warriors returning were dying from and becoming disabled.  In fact there is a concern the government is only using those scientists that have a anti-Veteran bias and those government research entities that rely on government funding, especially future government funding.  Examples will be shown later.

 

Including that there once again has been no legitimate outreach program, as designed, while Veterans die off.

 

Other comments and informational facts on Gulf war SYNDROME

 

Remembering that the government/VA and its contracted NAS/IOM scientists categorically state that this syndrome is caused by stress; not Depleted Uranium (DU) shells.

 

“Since these soldiers were exposed to vaccines and depleted uranium (DU) only, this is strong evidence for researchers and scientists working on this issue, that DU is the definitive cause of Gulf War Syndrome.  Vaccines are not known to cause cancer.  One of the first published researchers on Gulf War Syndrome, who also served in 1991 in Iraq, Dr. Andras Korényi-Both, is in agreement with Barbara Goodno from the Department of Defense's Deployment Health Support Directorate, that in this war soldiers were not exposed to chemicals, pesticides, bio-agents or other suspect causes this time to confuse the issue.” 

“This powerful new evidence is blowing holes in the cover-up perpetrated by the Pentagon and “three presidential administrations” ever since DU was first used in 1991 in the Persian Gulf War.”

 
“Fourteen years after the introduction of DU on the battlefield in 1991, the long-term effects have revealed that DU is a death sentence and very nasty stuff.”

“Scientists studying the biological effects of uranium in the 1960s reported that it targets the DNA.  Marion Fulk, a nuclear physical chemist retired from the Livermore Nuclear Weapons Lab and formerly involved with the Manhattan Project, interprets the new and rapid malignancies in soldiers from the 2003 war as “spectacular … and a matter of concern.”

“This evidence shows that of the three effects, which DU has on biological systems - radiation, chemical and particulate – the particulate effect from nano-size particles is the most dominant one immediately after exposure and targets the Master Code in the DNA.”


“This is bad news, but it explains why DU causes a myriad of diseases, which are difficult to define.”

 
“In simple words, DU “trashes the body.”  When asked if the main purpose for using it was for destroying things and killing people, Fulk was more specific: “I would say that it is the perfect weapon for killing lots of people.”

 

Trashing the body is good explanation for what these toxic chemicals did to our Vietnam Veterans and their children.
 

“Soldiers developing malignancies so quickly since 2003 can be expected to develop multiple cancers from independent causes.  This phenomenon has been reported by doctors in hospitals treating civilians following NATO bombing with DU in Yugoslavia in 1998-1999 and the U.S. military invasion of Iraq using DU for the first time in 1991.  Medical experts report that this phenomenon of multiple malignancies from unrelated causes has been unknown until now and is a new syndrome associated with internal DU exposure.”

 
“Just 467 U.S. personnel were wounded in the three-week Persian Gulf War in 1990-1991.  Out of 580,400 soldiers who served in Gulf War I, 11,000 are dead, and by 2000, there were 325,000 on permanent medical disability.  This astounding number of disabled vets means that a decade later, 56 percent of those soldiers who served now have medical problems.” 

“The number of disabled vets reported up to 2000 has been increasing by 43,000 every year.  Brad Flohr of the Department of Veterans Affairs told American Free Press that he believes there are more disabled vets now than even after World War II.”

“They brought it home.”

“Not only were soldiers exposed to DU on and off the battlefields, but also they brought it home.  DU in the semen of soldiers internally contaminated their wives, partners, and girlfriends.  Tragically, some women in their 20s and 30s who were sexual partners of exposed soldiers developed endometriosis and were forced to have hysterectomies because of health problems.”

 

“The Department of Veterans Affairs has stated that they do not keep records of birth defects occurring in families of veterans.”  “ How did they hide it?”
 

“Military research report summaries detail the testing of DU from 1974-1999 at military testing grounds, bombing and gunnery ranges and at civilian labs under contract.  Today 42 states are contaminated with DU from manufacture, testing, and deployment” 

 

“Women living around these facilities have reported increases in endometriosis, birth defects in babies, leukemia in children and cancers, and other diseases in adults.  Thousands of tons of DU weapons tested for decades by the Navy on four bombing and gunnery ranges around Fallon, Nevada, is no doubt the cause of the fastest growing leukemia cluster in the U.S. over the past decade.  The military denies that DU is the cause.”

“The medical profession has been active in the cover-up - just as they were in hiding the effects from the American public - of low-level radiation from atmospheric testing and nuclear power plants.  A medical doctor in Northern California reported being trained by the Pentagon with other doctors, months before the 2003 war started, to diagnose and treat soldiers returning from the 2003 war for mental problems only.” 

“Medical professionals in hospitals and facilities treating returning soldiers were threatened with $10,000 fines if they talked about the soldiers or their medical problems.  They were also threatened with jail.” 

“Reporters have also been prevented access to more than 14,000 medically evacuated soldiers flown nightly since the 2003 war in C-150s from Germany who are brought to Walter Reed Hospital near Washington, D.C.”

“Dr. Robert Gould, former president of the Bay Area chapter of Physicians for Social Responsibility (PSR), has contacted three medical doctors since February 2004, after I had been invited to speak about DU. Dr. Katharine Thomasson, president of the Oregon chapter of the PSR, informed me that Dr. Gould had contacted her and tried to convince her to cancel her invitation for me to speak about DU at Portland State University on April 12.  Although I was able to do a presentation, Dr. Thomasson told me I could only talk about DU in Oregon "and nothing overseas … nothing political."

“Dr. Gould also contacted and discouraged Dr. Ross Wilcox in Toronto, Canada, from inviting me to speak to Physicians for Global Survival (PGS), the Canadian equivalent of PSR, several months later.  When that didn't work, he contacted Dr. Allan Connoly, the Canadian national president of PGS, who was able to cancel my invitation and nearly succeeded in preventing Dr. Wilcox, his own member, from showing photos and presenting details on civilians suffering from DU exposure and cancer provided to him by doctors in southern Iraq.” 

“Dr. Janette Sherman, a former and long-standing member of PSR, reported that she finally quit some time after being invited to lunch by a new PSR executive administrator.  After the woman had pumped Dr. Sherman for information all through lunch about her position on key issues, the woman informed Dr. Sherman that her last job had been with the CIA.”

“How was the truth about DU hidden from military personnel serving in successive DU wars?”

 

“Before his tragic death, Sen. Paul Wellstone informed Joyce Riley, R.N., B.S.N., executive director of the American Gulf War Veterans Association, that 95 percent of Gulf War veterans had been recycled out of the military by 1995.  Any of those continuing in military service were isolated from each other, preventing critical information being transferred to new troops.”

 
“The "next DU war" had already been planned, and those planning it wanted "no skunk at the garden party."

“The US has a dirty (DU) little (CIA) secret.”

“A Japanese professor, Dr. K. Yagasaki, has calculated that 800 tons of DU is the atomicity equivalent of 83,000 Nagasaki bombs.  The U.S. has used more DU since 1991 than the atomicity equivalent of 400,000 Nagasaki bombs.  Four nuclear wars indeed, and 10 times the amount of radiation released into the atmosphere from atmospheric testing!”

“No wonder our soldiers, their families, and the people of the Middle East, Yugoslavia and Central Asia are sick.  But as Henry Kissinger said after Vietnam when our soldiers came home ill from Agent Orange, "Military men are just dumb stupid animals to be used for foreign policy.”

 

I would bet about now you are sorry you voted for that congressman or senator who looks to support any lie even though they know it is a lie rather than admit government guilt; especially when it comes to supporting the nations warriors or even giving them a chance to live. 

 

 

 

VIETNAMS toxic chemical legacy

 

If there is ever a case that matches the SHAD testing lawsuit, it is our toxic chemical legacy.

 

Included would be the criminal liability of VA Secretary, government scientists, study scientists, GAO workers, DOD members, Bureau of Budget members, and even some members of the White House itself.

 

After four years of novice medical research on our Vietnam Veterans Toxic Chemical legacy I had come to same conclusion these systemic disorders will not meet some 100-year-old standard testing code or the same morphology demanded by the VA.

 

Yet, the symptoms outside of a diagnosed cancer, is very similar to neurotoxic effects, neurotoxin effects, or low dose radiation effects causing Gulf War Syndrome commented on above. 

 

Disabling neuropathy (some with wasting) with or without diabetes, joint pain and weakness, muscle weakness, chronic fatigue syndrome, gastrointestinal issues, short term memory issues, other mental cognitive deficits, motor skill issues, other mental disability problems, etc.

 

This is outside of the cancers that seem to develop and from the reports above it seems the Gulf War veterans are also now developing some of the cancers as a result of these cell changes.

 

Readers remember our government has completely discounted the herbicide Agent Orange and has only considered dioxin, which is only one part of the herbicide.  In addition, our government has totally disregarded the Agent White (AW) Herbicide as well as the Agent Blue (AB) Herbicide.  Each one of these has their own medical issues such as AW and Central Nervous System damages and AB is noted for its neurotoxic damages.  Including Dapsone in some Veterans may have been a problem by itself and in some Veterans considering they were taking this Dapsone with the exposures to a known cell modifying toxic chemical, dioxin.

 

In addition, the very limited cancer the government has accepted is bogus to begin with especially since they discount all forms of autoimmune diseases.

 

The reader must remember that in cancers it takes a series of cell mutations or maturations.  If this maturation stops or pauses for whatever reason you get many more issues such as autoimmune diseases or various other forms of medical disabilities.  It is not even feasible to think that all veterans would get cancer yet they will get the damaging process that may lead to cancer, a smoldering cancer, or an autoimmune form of disorder. 

 

It is estimated by the EPA that the dioxin threshold requirement for an autoimmune disease is 100 times less than that of a cancer.  This only makes sense as in the description above of the cellular changes.  Therefore, one would have to ask how it is the VA and the NAS/IOM continually deny this evolution even as it directly relates to the cancer development process.  Just mind-boggling!

 

Now, where does the government corruption and collaboration reside the last 40 years and where did it begin.

 

It started with the VA itself whose job it was to make sure the toxic chemical exposures were not associated to the returning Veterans dying or becoming disabled.  Same as with the Gulf War Veterans.  You see for 30 years prior to the Gulf War, the government had practiced and perfected the art of denial and cover-up.

 

The VA officials met behind closed doors not with our nations most prestigious research centers and hospitals.  Instead, they met with chemical company scientists and chemical company medical directors whose job in their careers was to prove zero damages from the toxic chemicals.  Including testimony in court cases of chemical company workers against the chemical companies themselves.  Just a tad bit of bias.  In fact, the VA then appointed a Monsanto chemical scientist, who remember was on the other side of the fence moments before the appointment, to head up their Agent Orange studies.

 

The VA then drug its feet on getting anything accomplished.  The study originally assigned to the VA was then given to the Center for Disease Control (CDC).  This also turned out to be a disaster for the effected Veterans.

 

The CDC study was so ill conceived and planned some former members were concerned at what it was the CDC was actually trying to prove.  Protocol violations, protocol changes, challenges that military records were not sufficient to prove anything, and on and on.

 

Then the ultimate government disgrace is in HR 101-672 that the Reagan/Bush interference in the CDC studies and then cancelled them.

 

“August 2, 1990, the House Government Operations Committee approved a report “The Agent Orange Cover-up: A case of flawed science and political manipulation", HR-101-672, that stated:

“The White House compromised the independence of the CDC and undermined the Agent Orange study of Vietnam Veterans by controlling crucial decisions and guiding the course of research at the same time it had secretly taken a legal position to resist demands to compensate victims of Agent Orange exposure and industrial accidents."

“On page 27, of this Congressional report (101-672), we see that top administration officials such as Attorney General Edwin Meese and White House Chief of Staff James Baker had ultimate decision making authority for approving and eventually canceling the Agent Orange exposure study.”

 

From 1979 to 1991, a committee was formed to show some kind of non-bias against the Veterans, their widows, and their damaged offspring.  This committee was called Veterans Administration Committee on Environmental Hazards (VACEH).  This committee was to make recommendations on what toxic damages should be compensated.  

 

Once again, former chemical company scientists whose previous job it was to prove there were no toxic chemical damages were selected.

 

After some scathing reviews of the work of these scientists by independent prestigious research teams, the VACEH was disbanded.  However, they managed to stall all but one disorder,  Chloracne which was awarded in 1984.  This of course was advertised as a skin disorder when it actually is a systemic internal issue.

 

Statements were made that this committee was nothing but a Kangaroo Court, independent scientists mentioned discovery of total Veteran bias among the committee members, some of our more prestigious research centers indicated the work of the committee should not be use to determine anything, much less the health and compensations of the Veterans.

 

As of 1991, we have at least 23 years of government stalling, a government façade of caring about the Veterans, a discovery of interference by the White House itself, the VA utilizing nothing but chemical company scientists, and a found notation that the White House had made the decision not to support the costs of helping the Veterans.

 

This is backed up by a memo that was sent out to all federal agencies involved.  

 

“The White House Office of Bureau of the Budget had ordered all the agencies of government in essence not to find a correlation between Agent Orange and health affects stating that it would be most unfortunate for two reasons:

 

A)    The cost of supporting the Veterans and

B)    The court liability to which corporations would be exposed.”

 

Obvious at this point in time the government and the chemical companies now became co-conspirators against the Veterans.

 

Inclusive to this time period were other despicable acts by the VA and the government in general.

 

The Ranch Hand study was commenced with the very first report released charges of zero integrity.  The initial draft was changed to reflect no real problems and was so stated by the government.  Yet, after review of the scientific draft and the management corrected released report there were questions of not just an interpretation of the gathered data but charges of out right perpetration of fraudulent conclusions.

 

Many of the found issues of comparisons between the two study groups that reached a 50% increase or more were deleted.  In fact, today many issues found in our own government studies that reach 50% or more increases are not even told to the Veterans or their doctors who care for them.

 

In fact, some of the scientists on these studies have commented and testified that:

 

 

 

 

 

 

One found example was a liver enzyme increase with a linear response to dioxin.  Because the scientists did not understand the disorder it was discussed they just inform the study cohort so they could pass it on to their personal doctors.  Never mind the rest of the three million Veterans and their doctors that do not know.

 

Moreover, the list of study corruption goes on and on and on.

 

Problems found in heart disease, vascular disease, neurological ailments, endocrine disturbances, additional cancers, birth defects, and hematological difficulties are not being brought forward into the light of day.

 

At present, the Government/VA has begrudgingly approved the following diseases and disorders of which many were too late for veterans who have already succumbed to this list of killers.

 

Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma

Soft tissue sarcoma

Hodgkin’s disease

Multiple myeloma

Respiratory cancers

Prostate cancer

Type II diabetes

Chronic lymphocyte leukemia

 

In addition, there are three more associated disorders with bogus time limits on them of one year removed from Vietnam and two year totally cured.  There is no medical evidence that shows a time limit on any of these nor  any Veterans I talked to, including myself, been cured of these disorders.

 

Acute and subacute transient peripheral neuropathy.  (Note: this started out as acute neuropathy.)

Porphyria Cutanea Tarda (liver hepatic disorder)

 

In 1991 an independent review was done and the results were as follows:

 

“…it is at least as likely as not that the following are caused in humans by exposure to TCDD: non-Hodgkin' s lymphoma, chloracne and other skin disorders, lip cancer, bone cancer, soft tissue sarcoma, birth defects, skin cancer, lung cancer, porphyria cutanea tarda and other liver disorders, Hodgkin's disease, hematopoietic diseases, multiple myeloma, neurological defects and autoimmune diseases and disorders, liver cancer, nasal/pharyngeal/esophageal cancers, leukemia, malignant melanoma, kidney cancer, testicular cancer, pancreatic cancer, stomach cancer, prostate cancer, colon cancer, brain cancer, psychosocial effects, and gastrointestinal disease are service-connected”

 

This report, on VA letterhead, then classified and stamped "not for release to the public."

 

After the honest AO impact assessment done by the Koreans completed in 2002, and comparing that study to the Australian and New Zealand reports, and what I have found covered up in our government’s studies; any reasonable person could conclude the following are associated to dioxin and/or wartime service in Vietnam.

 

Amyloidosis (primary, secondary, or toxic chemical tertiary)

Anemia

Autoimmune diseases and disorders (defined and undefined medical codes)

Birth defects (physical and mental)

Bone cancer

Brain atrophy

Brain cancer

Brain infarction

Cell function – mitogen response

All of these government cover-ups and issues are exactly the same, with the same implications and ramifications for the Veterans, death and/or disablement with no government support.  In addition to the Veterans going after the government officials who perpetrated these criminal acts against Veterans, I would think attorney’s representing offspring could indeed sue the government.  The unconstitutional Feres Doctrine does not bind them from seeking damages.

 

 

GENERAL COMMENTS

 

Veterans feel a pride in what they accomplished, what their fallen comrades accomplished, and are reluctant to talk against the nation they so admirably served.  It is time to realize this is not the government we thought it was and it is time to speak out and demand the real truth.

 

There are two separate legal issues facing Veterans. 

 

One is the government conspiratorial action in creating medical information voids for the Veteran and his offspring.  These voids cause death and disablement for the Veterans by denying them a first strike or possible preventative care.

 

The second one is the constitutional question regarding our own government setting aside the “Veteran Citizen” from the constitutional protection from government tyranny guaranteed by the constitution.

 

We need to find out just where in the constitution it states that the federal government (Executive Branch and Congress) can take away equal protection under the law for one segment of society.  I thought the constitution provided protection no matter what race, creed, color, or religion of the citizen.

 

Where exactly does it say that because you once proudly wore the uniform of the United States Military and become a civilian, you are no longer considered a citizen with the same inalienable rights as the next citizen.

 

Then Veterans are subjected to separate and more stringent Board of Veteran Appeals operating as if they had some legal charter.  Yet, they do not operate under any rule of law and can say or do anything with no ramifications for its actions, conspiracy, and just out and out lies. 

 

Then we have this US Court of Veterans Appeals which also is a ruling body called a court in name only with no oversight and no trail to the Supreme Court of our nation.  Convenient for the government but certainly follows no rule of law. 

    

In other words, you have two levels of government claims adjusters that can stall, delay, and indeed lie through their teeth and there is nothing Veterans can do.  The difference between the civilian claims adjusters and these VA claims adjusters is what they determine is legal and not criminal; or at least they know they will not be prosecuted for the lies.  

 

Veterans are asked to do the most horrific and horrifying things one citizen can ask of another.  After meeting the threat of the enemy, the Veteran then must return home, and meet the new threat:  The President(s), the Congress of the United States, and the Veterans Administration itself.

 

It is time we heard bugle sounds of “Call to Arms” and unite as we did on the battlefield.  It is time to quit arguing about democrats and republicans.  With few exceptions, there are precious few inside of 495, on either side of the aisle, that care about your used up government assets; Your Veterans.  I can name about five (2-D, 2-R, and 1-I) that are seemingly concerned, at least in a whisper.

 

Take notice of the following:

 

As one of the government study scientists stated before the congressional oversight committee:

 

“…this is more than a veterans affairs issue.  It is, in fact, a national security issue. 

Because if the country continues to treat their veterans poorly and, in some cases, abominably as has been the case with the veterans suffering from adverse health outcomes from Vietnam, from the Persian Gulf, we're not going to meet the recruitment and retention needs in this new era of needing highly educated, highly technically proficient people.  They aren't going to stay in because why should they, when they know what's going to happen going out the other end?”

AMEN BROTHER!

 

That word is getting out finally; despite the government lies, conspiracy, and collaborations.

 

No longer should this nation be built on the backs of Veterans and their families; and then not supported by the government they served.

 

It may be time to vote for anyone else besides what we have in congress on both sides of the aisle.

 

Make your choices carefully in 2006 and especially in 2008; not because they are republican or democrat.  Ask the hard direct "yes or no" questions.  Remembering that when it comes to Veterans issues, these politicians have about as much integrity in their whole body as you as a Veteran have in the tip of your little finger.

 

Veterans made and keep this nation what it is, not politicians!
