On 19 December 1966, a 2˝-ton truck from Service Battery received moderate damage when it hit a Viet Cong mine north of Dong Ha, while being used to haul sand to the Battery area.  Eight men aboard the truck escaped serious injuries, two of which were thrown from the truck with injuries.

PFC Daniel Kempton of Service Battery was one of the first two wounded in the 2/94th. PFC Daniel Kempton would return after operation and rehabilitation to be wounded the second time in May or June of 1967 during a rocket attack while serving in Service Battery at Dong Ha

The other solder wounded in the first combat event of 19 December 1966 was  PFC Robert C. Lopp of Service Battery.

There was one of our Sergeant (E5)'s up there with me taking pictures.  He got down low to hug the sandbags on the tower floor.  I told him to sit up and look for muzzle flashes because the shells hitting the ground could not hurt us up that high and if one hit the tower (which it did a week later) hugging the floor would not help.  During the first lull, he decided to go down the ladder.  A shell hit at the tower base while he was on the top step, putting about a quarter-sized piece of fragment right into the fat part of his butt.  SGT is unknown at this time.

From 1 Feb 1967 to 30 April 1967 there were 17 WIA's in the Battalion:

9 of the 17 were wounded at Gio Linh.

20 March 1967,  the Number 3 Gun Chief, Staff Sergeant Neal received shrapnel wounds to the head.

Sergeant Seale,  Specialist’s Kramb, and  Specialist Lindsey Kerns were awarded the Purple Heart.   Date of Action on or about 21 March 1967 while serving at Gio Linh.

Specialist Lindsey Kerns was to receive a second Purple Heart on 12 May 1967 while in the hospital in Da Nang. Specialist Kerns was wounded the second time at ??? serving with Service Battery?

Lieutenant Charles Lincoln, D Battery (B/6/27),  was wounded at Gio Linh, date is not known at this time.

4 WIA are unknown while serving at Gio Linh.

On 9 April 1967, Lieutenant Barry DeVita was seriously wounded and evacuated as a result of wounds received from hostile action while on patrol. GO 2125, Dated 11 May 1967

On 9 April 1967, Private First Class Richard W. Mackrenroth was also wounded as a result of wounds received from hostile action while on patrol.  GO 2125, Dated 11 May 1967

Private First Class Gordon L. Howard

Private First Class Carmelo M. Jimenez

All of these men received a Purple Heart by GO 2125, Dated 11 May 1967

There were numerous wounded from 1 May 1967 to 31 July 1967

while the battalion rotated Batteries in and out of Gio Linh in 1967.  It looks like the total is around 36 with 26 being wounded at Gio Linh.

On 3 June 1967,  Private First Class Honkon, Service Battery was seriously wounded at Gio Linh  while off-loading ammunition.

These is all the data I have.  I would assume that most of the WIA's would have been from C, D, and Service Batteries.
