Va PRESCRIPTION ruse

Please sign up for the reunion at Fort Sill - so we can get a count of whose in.  Also there are some polls that you can take on the monument we would like to post at sill.

Some poll questions deal with your preferences regarding the battalion
monument to be permanently installed at Fort Sill as part of the reunion
ceremonies next May.

We are approaching 100 people registered for the reunion.  If you haven't
already done so and plan to attend, please register now.  When we get to 180,
we will have used up the rooms and buses contracted for.  The reunion
committee has specified a higher rate for late registrations (after 1 Jan
2006) and we may have to make arrangements at nearby hotels and do car pools
along with the buses.  You can help out a lot by registering early and then
if we get to 180 before 1 Jan, we can exercise options on some additional
rooms at the host hotel plus 2 more of those comfortable air conditioned
buses (which also have rest rooms).  There are some events that I have been
told we will probably not be able to get everybody in - such as the urban
warfare exhibit at I-See_o Hall.  If we run into limitations beyond 180, all
we can do is go by the order that people registered.  So sign up early to
make sure you are in.  The 'Who's In' list on the blog site shows the
sequence of registrations.  After you register, check that list to make sure
your information is correct.

Links for reunion 'Info & Sign Up', 'Who's In', the Polls and quick indexed
links to 'Unit History' as compiled by Charles Kelley are at the top of the
page at http://294FA.blogspot.com.

Good morning Charles,

Finished your book last evening.  I have authored three novels (www.haroldhester.com) so can appreciate the time, effort and frustration's you had putting it together.  It was well researched, edited, and intelligently presented.

I too have some AO problems and have been seeking compensations from the VA for just under two years.  Like you, I am pretty good with a computer and doing research, which made reading your book a bit easier then most.  My research in my ping-pong snail-mail games with the VA covered parts of the same ground as you but you carried yours to a higher, more clever and gifted level then mine.  Well done!

Your analytical, professional, and unfortunately frustrated mind (as mine is) was evident throughout.

Harold

Thanks to Harold for taking the time to first read the book and then comment on it.  I for one certainly appreciate it with the work and research that went into it.

Va PRESCRIPTION ruse

The 101st ABN sent this to me as a warning of criminal folks looking for credit card numbers.

Subject: FYI: Possible Prescription Fraud

Possible Prescription Fraud

Veterans are receiving calls from a company identifying itself as the “Patient Care Group.”  This company is claiming that the veteran's prescriptions are now being dispensed through them and if they wanted to continue to receive their meds, they would need to provide a credit card number.

The VA HAS NOT changed the process of receiving and dispensing prescriptions.  This company is a FRAUD.

Please share with employees and veterans.

Thank you,
