Gulf War Survey Results and Comparison to Toxic Chemical Damages

Below is a Gulf War survey of medical symptoms.  I have highlighted those that overlap some of the Vietnam medical symptoms.

Medical symptoms from Vietnam are more of variety and severity in some cases.

As you read through the symptoms remember the same government agencies and the same contracted government agencies that deny many many Vietnam statistically and mathematically proven toxic chemical disorders to Vietnam; said all of these Gulf War symptoms were from stress.  This was after 10 years of contracted government study at a cost of (I could not find the costs).

Many of you might not know that an independent study was recently concluded with primary funding by Mr. Ross Perot that indicated these common medical issues and symptoms by so many in a war that took less than 100 hours was not caused by stress.  This study concluded that these symptoms were more than likely from some form of neurotoxin exposures.

The VA’s answer to this was to now stop the bogus stress study by the government and its contracted agencies and then fund another 60 million dollar four year study to see if neurotoxins were involved.

Some scientists think that possibly the massive oil fires that burned over there were the cause of some of this.  This would be no different than say some of huge incinerators that put out some form of dioxin.  Maybe not like TCDD exposures in Vietnam but never the less some form of dioxin.  By the way, the EPA has determined that our dioxin (TCDD) does act as a neurotoxic.  Agent Blue is noted neurotoxic chemical.

However, I guess our fatigues were better than our counterparts in the Gulf War since we cannot develop the effects of being exposed to the toxic chemicals causing neurotoxic effects.  Yea, I know sarcastic but certainly deservedly so.

Now there is more and more data coming to light as the data gets out despite the governments efforts to keep it under wraps regarding the low dose radiation from the DU shells.  More data coming out of the Las Alamos labs about the ratings per shell and the cumulative effects of the shell usage in one area, who knew it, and that after action reports were suppose to be positive only; and more info that lend itself to some form of let’s keep the wraps on this.

Whether it was the fires creating neurotoxic chemicals or low dose radiation, I do not think that those affected veterans and affected veterans families care one whit which one it was.

However, when scientists start talking that the veterans were actually radiation dosing their sex partner when they came home.  Then obviously, the neurotoxic or neurotoxin issue is no longer moot.

Remember the damages are very similar and the concerns are similar as to exposure rate and total dose.

Both concerns:

What dose rate before damages begin to occur in cells.

What total dose radiation, or in the case of toxic chemicals the total body threshold, regardless of ingestions at any one time - before damages begin to occur in the cells.

The deltas between the two wars:

If it was low dose radiation then it is only concerned with that one form such as dirty U-238.  If you were going to be impacted by radiation, it would be extremely rare circumstances you would be concerned with what multiple types were in the same area.

Because of the many different toxic chemicals used in Vietnam, this of course would be a concern.  This is primarily because you cannot ferret out which one caused what.  You cannot ferret out which one along with another caused what; or even which three in combination and what combination of exposures, or what dose rates from the three caused what symptoms in variety and severity.  This is what is known as synergy or potentiating effect.

The bottom line:  The government studies of over 400 million dollars, unless they strictly use significant increase or increased risk of incidence in our toxic chemical issues, are boondoggles.  Much less, they have zero integrity to begin with, which is a separate issue.

Does method of ingestion and dose rate matter?  You bet it does.

One Simple Example:  I studied over 600 pages of Ranch Hand transcripts and not once did they find Chloracne in the Ranch Handers that were primarily exposed by skin contact only.

Yet, just within the last 8 months we know that the Ukraine president developed this systemic disorder because of dioxin poisoning.  His dose rate was so high that he had a raging case of this systemic disorder within days.  Unless he spilled the suspected poisoned soup on himself, we have assumed he drank it and the form of ingestion was similar to drinking contaminated water.

Yet, the Secretary of the VA with his vast medical knowledge has scientifically and mathematically concluded that the dose rate that all Veterans would have received in Vietnam would have been large enough to cause manifestations within one year of leaving Vietnam.

He has also concluded that the cumulate total threshold would also have been mandatory achieved, regardless of tour length or multiple tours, by all Vietnam Veterans so that they would manifest within one year of Vietnam.

This is on a toxic chemical that no one knows what it does or how it does it, or the unknowns of the effects of combinations of other toxic chemicals.  This is based on government studies that only studied those that were exposed by skin contact alone, which seems to have zero impact to the development of this systemic issue.  NO study, outside of the Korean Impact study, has used Veterans regardless of their MOS.  By default, this limits the method of ingestions.

I for one would like to see the decision matrix and the white paper on this little deal but unfortunately, no one is allowed to challenge the VA, including its own customers.

Including our congressmen and senators; or so it seems they say.

This same amazing scientific accomplishment and insight by the VA secretary was applied to  PCT and Neuropathy.

Anyway, read on for yourself and see the medical impacts of the Gulf War that has come to be known as Gulf War Syndrome.

“Soldiers developing malignancies so quickly since 2003 can be expected to develop multiple cancers from independent causes.  This phenomenon has been reported by doctors in hospitals treating civilians following NATO bombing with DU in Yugoslavia in 1998-1999 and the U.S. military invasion of Iraq using DU for the first time in 1991.  Medical experts report that this phenomenon of multiple malignancies from unrelated causes has been unknown until now and is a new syndrome associated with internal DU exposure.

“Just 467 U.S. personnel were wounded in the three-week Persian Gulf War in 1990-1991.  Out of 580,400 soldiers who served in Gulf War I, 11,000 are dead, and by 2000, there were 325,000 on permanent medical disability.  This astounding number of disabled vets means that a decade later, 56 percent of those soldiers who served now have medical problems.

“The number of disabled vets reported up to 2000 has been increasing by 43,000 every year.  Brad Flohr of the Department of Veterans Affairs told American Free Press that he believes there are more disabled vets now than even after World War II.

“They brought it home.

“Not only were soldiers exposed to DU on and off the battlefields, but also they brought it home.  DU in the semen of soldiers internally contaminated their wives, partners, and girlfriends.  Tragically, some women in their 20s and 30s who were sexual partners of exposed soldiers developed endometriosis and were forced to have hysterectomies because of health problems.

“In a group of 251 soldiers from a study group in Mississippi who had all had normal babies before the Gulf War, 67 percent of their post-war babies were born with severe birth defects.  They were born with missing legs, arms, organs, or eyes or had immune system and blood diseases.  In some veterans' families now, the only normal or healthy members of the family are the children born before the war.
