Some of the reviews on this book are as follows:

"Good Morning Charles,

Finished your book last evening.  I have authored three novels (www.haroldhester.com) so can appreciate the time, effort, desire and frustration(s) you had putting it together.  It was well researched, edited, and intelligently presented.

I also have some AO problems and have been seeking compensation(s) from the VA for just under two years.  Like you, I am pretty good with a computer and doing research.  Your presentation of "Vietnam's Rain Agents" made this page-turner both enthralling and exhilarating and a must read.  My research in my ping-pong snail-mail games with the VA covered parts of the same ground as you but you carried yours to a higher, more talented and gifted level then mine.  Well done!

Your analytical, professional, and unfortunately frustrated mind (as mine is) was evident throughout."

Vietnam's Rain Agents (Weapons of Mass Destruction) by Charles Wayne Kelley

Wayne Kelley (SHS 1965) finally realized that his disabling mystery illness was caused by toxic chemicals used by the government while he served in Vietnam 1966-67.  And he found that the government was denying culpability and was not compensating any veterans for this.

As a scientist, he began researching all aspects of this problem which evolved into this book.  He gives the symptoms that thousands of veterans display, the ingredients of the toxic chemicals used and the effects they have, various studies made, the cover up by the VA and the government and much more.  This 328 page book is well documented and well written.

Wayne has donated a copy of his book to the Museum.  if you would like to order a copy, a form is available at the Museum or you can order online at http://www.2ndbattalion94thartillery.com/book/bookorders.htm . cost is 18.95 plus $6 s/h.

Book Review; Nov. 2005

VIETNAM'S ORANGE, WHITE AND BLUE RAIN AGENTS AND WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION;
Charles Kelley - Author
Corps Productions - Publisher
328 pages with references

Charles Kelley, author and Vietnam Veteran, pulls no punches with this book of scathing evidence of scientific, analytical, factual data and in your face style, indictment of conspiracy, against the Department of Veteran Affairs and several other government agencies.  He promises; "With documented evidence and references to the evidence, I will show that our own government promised her Veterans care, and reneged on that promise.  With documented evidence and references to the evidence, I will show that our own government, including the White House, has committed conspiracy against a complete segment of our society, The Veteran."

Most American readers can now conceive the horrors and use of toxic chemicals on his own people, by Saddam Hussein, or the millions of Jews destroyed with gas by Adolph Hitler; but most readers will have difficulty understanding the massive and continued cover up by The American Government, of the use and toxic effects of Agents orange, white, and blue, on our military in Vietnam. The evidence presented will shock you and leave you wanting to fix the wrong, the American government has bestowed on the very people who fight and protect our freedom and rights. The author neatly frames his main point with an Introduction by Jeffrey A. Truman on the Feres Doctrine allowing a better legal understanding of the Bureau of Veterans Affairs and unchallengeable power; then with all fairness, Mr. Kelley finishes his book with some recommendations.

Mr. Kelley's engineering background is displayed by his analytical and scientific thinking.  He demonstrates his ability to utilize scientific analysis, legal data, medical information and stamina to cut through the bureaucratic and political red tape to show the horrific physical and psychological disorders and genetic defects from exposure to dioxin and other chemicals used in the war by the US Government. The author's intensive and exhaustive research leaves many questions to be answered by the Bureau of Veteran Affairs, the White House and elected officials and their appointees.  Time and time again, the author shows the flawed studies, hidden records or altered documents that have led to the premature death of many veterans and the suffering of offspring due to the Veterans toxic exposure, passed on genetically.  Time and again, the author shows the U.S. Government inability to give her Veterans the benefit of the doubt, as stated by law, the U.S. Government destroying or misplacing scientific data, or spinning the facts to avoid accountability for 40+ years of cover up, to avoid doing the right thing for her Warriors and future generations.

The readers may notice the author may appear personal, at times, with feelings of frustration or perhaps anger, regarding Agent Orange and the whole fiasco about its effects on the human system and the government's lack of accountability.  To better understand these personal feelings, the reader must know that Charles Kelley is totally disabled due to severe polyneuropathy with muscle atrophy, Diabetes Type II, and chronic fatigue and pain.  No less than 5 doctors have validated his illnesses, although the Bureau of Veterans affairs fails to recognize them as service connected due to toxic exposure during service near the DMZ in 1967-68.   Mr. Kelley agonized over revealing his book, in fear of shedding a bad light on America.  I salute you Charles Kelley, for your patriotism, undying love for your comrades, and your bravery, to not let this issue die with the Veteran. I am inspired by your ability to continue the fight for rights and freedom. You sir, meet the definition of hero.

The effects of Agent Orange may not be reversed; but knowledge of this American atrocity may alleviate future pain and suffering. I believe this is the first intent of the author. Therefore, I recommend this book be read by ALL Politicians, All employees of the Bureau of Veterans Affairs, most specifically VA Health Professionals and Administrators.  I suggest all Veterans read this book and use it for a reference, if you feel you have been exposed to any Toxic Chemicals  while performing your military duties.

Book Review; Dec. 2005

I have received the book and am flabbergasted at the unquestionable truth that you are exposing.

I failed to tell you that I have been the National Chairman of the Agent Orange/Dioxin Committee of the Vietnam Veterans of America since 1989.

Also, I have about 10000 scientific studies which are computerized and broken down into 20 different categories,  One category is immune system and another neurological.

Your book is the best I have ever read and I have read all of them.
